First Post

I've been quite enjoying following all sorts of quilting blogs and decided that there is no time like the present to join in on all the fun.

This week has been full of cutting, cutting, and more cutting.

Sewing nerd alert - I love seeing the garbage pails full of trimmings.  Please tell me that I'm not the only one!

All of those trimmings were a result of creating this....

And these....

All of the black fabrics are for a quilt that I'm working on while the assorted pile is the result of going through the scrap bin and cutting everything up.  I have two ideas for scrappy quilts and decided to go for both of them; I'll be working on them as ender & leaders.  Looking at this picture, I think I'm set for a while with the ender & leaders but, oh darn, I might just need to make more scraps.

What do you do with your scraps?

  1. Welcome to the world of bloggers and quilt lovers. I too read others blogs for years and finally took the plunge and started my own 2 years ago. I do not regret a minute of it (except when photos won't upload). I have found wonderful friends around the world and even venture off to Australia last April by myself to meet a blogging friend.
I don't always enjoy seeing the fabric scraps in the trash can because they usually miss and are all over the floor. I have done far more quilting (or rather piecing and appliqueing) since starting my blog because I have somewhere to keep track and others to encourage me.
    blessings,
    Chris
